Dr. Jessica Collura is a Senior Research Associate at the Ohio Education Research Center (OERC) in the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University.
Her research focuses on engaging young people in local settings to promote the healthy development of youth and communities.

How do you hope to contribute to the network?
I hope one of my primary contributions to the PIR network will be as a “connector.” I have engaged in applied work in Ohio for over a decade and have developed strong relationships with individuals in state and local agencies, as well as in the nonprofit sector. As a native Ohioan currently living in an Appalachian area, I am well-positioned to help researchers and stakeholders build meaningful partnerships with local communities.
How will your participation with the network make a difference for your work?
I recently received a grant from the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health to develop Ohio’s Registry for Prevention and Early Intervention. I hope my participation in the network will help leverage this opportunity to advance my research on youth-focused prevention programs and evidence-based decision-making in the public sector.
